The championships, scheduled for March 20, are part of a four-day CAA program in Eswatini that includes the CAA Council meeting on March 17, the elective congress on March 18, and a technical meeting on March 19.

This elective congress follows the death on May 13 of CAA President Hamad Kalkaba Malboum of Cameroon, who had held the position since 2003.
