Ivorian Olympic Committee supports AADC Abidjan

The Ivorian Athletics Federation and the African Athletics Development Center of Abidjan (AADC) were recently the hosts of the Ivorian National Olympic Committee. It was with great satisfaction that the African Athletics Development Center of Abidjan left the headquarters of NOC-Cote d’Ivoire, the umbrella organization of the Olympic federations. The presentation made by the President of Ivorian athletics and head of delegation, Jeannot Kouamé "wowed" Me Georges Joseph N'GOAN, the president of the NOC-CIV. "I would like to congratulate you. I am really very happy. This center is a very good thing. When Jeannot told me about it, I said you can't do such exceptional work without us being informed. I spoke about it with Minister Adjé Silas Metch who plans to visit this center," he said.

In order to enable the AADC to continue this wonderful work with a view to a glorious future, the NOC-CIV is committed to providing it with its support. "We will make every effort to help this center. The State must help this center," said Me Georges Joseph N'GOAN, the president of the NOC-CIV.

The main mission of the Center is to detect some talented athletes to ensure the take-over calmly and sustainably in order to allow Côte d'Ivoire to shine on international scene. After the signing of the tripartite implementation agreement between the FIA, the CAA and the INJS on October 14, 2021, the African Athletics Development Center in Abidjan opened its doors on October 16, 2023. And in 16 months of operation, this center has succeeded in polishing several talents who have produced very good performances.

Located within the INJS, the African Athletics Development Center in Abidjan has currently six residents aged between 16 and 20. It is also open to foreign athletes aged 20 or over but of a very good level.

There is some great hope for Ivorian athletics.
