The president of the CAA, Hamad Kalkaba, brought together, on November 21, 2023 in Yaoundé, officials of the Cameroonian athletics federation and the Director General of the CAA, Lamine Faty, to discuss the holding of the 23rd African Senior Championships of Athletics planned for 2024 in Yaoundé. This meeting, at the Office of the President of the African Athletics Confederation in Yaoundé, took place after the audience with the Minister of Sports and Physical Education of Cameroon on the subject of this continental meeting.
The Director General of the CAA is currently staying in Cameroon to take stock of the preparations for these championships.
