Calixte Aholu is the new technical manager of AADC Dakar. He replaces the Frenchman Alain Smail who retired after several years of managing this position. At 50, Calixte Aholu, of Togolese origin, has a solid education and wide experience gained in France, in the United States and in Italy. As a coach, he specialized in Sprint, Hurdles, Jumps, Throws and endurance events.
His expertise in high-level sport management should be beneficial to the Dakar Center, many residents of which recently participated in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He speaks French, English, Spanish and Italian and is proficient in information technology. AADC Dakar, under the supervision of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), is led by Amadou Dia Ba, Olympic vice-champion in 400m hurdles in Seoul 1988.
