The Executive Committee of the Ivorian Athletics Federation (FIA) held its Ordinary General Assembly on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in room 20 of the National Institute of Youth and Sports. During this meeting, President Jeannot Kouamé Kouadio announced the appointment of Méité Ben Youssef, distinguished sprinter and former captain of the Côte d'Ivoire national team, as Administrative Director of the African Athletics Development Center in Abidjan (AADC).
Created by the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) and housed at the INJS, this center has welcomed its first six (6) residents since last year. This announcement was welcomed by Méité Ben Youssef. "I am very happy. It is a new challenge. I was an athlete for a long time, I also started management a while ago with my company. The combination of the two experiences will give something good. I am convinced of it. I have proven myself in athletics in Ivory Coast so I think it is very good news. I will not say that everything will change overnight but things will go for the better," he early declared.
